A journey across cultures, a focus on making complexity feel simple.

Born in Beijing, shaped by studying Entertainment Technology in the US, and now building digital products in Japan. I bring a cross-cultural perspective to complex product challenges, turning them into clear, thoughtful experiences.

My journey

  1. 1996Beijing, China

    Born and raised in Beijing.

  2. 2018United States

Moved to the US for graduate studies in Entertainment Technology at Carnegie Mellon University.

  3. 2020Back to China

Returned to China after two years in the US.

  4. 2020–2022AI startup → ByteDance

A few months at an AI startup, then ByteDance's content-safety business: designed 0-to-1 features as parts of it became B2B products, and built a component system for its review tools.

  5. Late 2022Tokyo, Japan

Moved to Japan and began learning Japanese.

  6. 2023A new chapter

Completed a year of language study and transitioned into Japan's tech industry.

  7. PresentProduct design at WeWork Japan

Designing the member app, website and internal tools. Most of my work is validating whether each design actually works, and helping the team work better through design.
